Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
Thank you for your e mail dated 8 October 2016 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
Please tell me for each of the following financial years a) 2011/12 b) 2012/13 c) 2013/14 d) 2014/15 e) 2015/16 f) 2016/17 YTD how many firearms offences committed by suspects under the age of 10 have been recorded by police.
For each case, please tell me a) the sex of the child b) the age of the child c) the offence committed, e.g. robbery, possession of a firearm etc d) a summary of the incident

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
The response given in response to this request is based on both firearm offences and any offences for which the weapon/instrument was a firearm.
