Dated: 12 Oct 2016
Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
Thank you for your e mail dated 24 September 2016 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
1. My Freedom of Information request to you is for the release of any relevant information that you hold regarding the numbers of police visits to Changing Lives. I would ideally like this information to go back as far as the records permit and up to the present time. Also, if possible, the nature of the visits i.e. violent crime, noise, drugs, or like incidents. I am not looking for the release of names or any personal information of individuals concerned.
Could I also make you aware that the organisation may also have used the address of Elliot House, Bentinck Road Newcastle as that is part of the same property.
2. Further to this request, would you have any information as to regarding the cost of a police call-out to the property?
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows, with the following caveats in mind.
1. The information provided below is from January 2011 to 30th September 2016, and the data provided relates to the recorded property Elliott House in Bentinck Road.
The information provided relates to calls made from those premises, and not for the number of times police visited the property (that information could not be ascertained within the permitted time constraints of the Act).
With the above in mind please see attached below.
2. No information held. Information regarding the costs of attending any incident is not collated, this is part of an officers day to day duties.
Due to the different methods of recording information across 43 forces, a specific response from one constabulary should not be seen as an indication of what information could be supplied (within cost) by another. Systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. For this reason responses between forces may differ, and should not be used for comparative purposes.
The information we have supplied to you is likely to contain intellectual property rights of Northumbria Police. Your use of the information must be strictly in accordance with the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended) or such other applicable legislation. In particular, you must not re-use this information for any commercial purpose.
