Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act') 

Thank you for your e mail dated  8 March  2017 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police. 

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions. 

You asked:

1.The number of allegations of revenge porn reported to the force in the financial year 2015/16 & the number of allegations reported to the force between 01 April 2016 and 28 February 2017

2. A breakdown of the ages of victims – i.e. the number of under 18's, the number of 18-21-year-olds, the number of 22-30-year-olds, the number of 31-64 -year-olds & the number of victims over 64.

3. The number of cases of revenge porn investigated by the force in the financial year 2015/16 & the number of cases investigated the force between 01 April 2016 and 28 February 2017

4. A breakdown of the ages of victims  – i.e. the number of under 18's, the number of 18-21-year-olds, the number of 22-30-year-olds, the number of 31--64 -year-olds & the number of victims over 64.

5. The number of people charged with offences relating to revenge porn by the force in the financial year 2015/16 & the number of people charged between 01 April 2016 and 28 February 2017.

6. The number of convictions for revenge porn secured by the force in the financial year 2015/16 & the number of convictions between 01 April 2016 and 28 February 2017.

7.The age of the youngest victim.

8.The age of the oldest victim.

 

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. 

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as below attached.
