These Home Office Codes meet the criteria of the questions. The figures represent all arrests irrespective of their disposal including NFA, Caution, Outside Agency and Police Bail.
To answer the last question we have scrutinised each trafficking arrest to try and establish if it related to prostitution or not. We have viewed the IS record (including intelligence) of the offender, read the incident log and went through the crime report. If it is clear that the arrests were related to prostitution we have marked this as a 'YES', if it is clear that it is not related we have marked this as 'NO'. If it is unclear that it is related we have marked this as 'UNKNOWN'.
See below attached.
Due to the different methods of recording information across 43 forces, a specific response from one constabulary should not be seen as an indication of what information could be supplied (within cost) by another. Systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. For this reason responses between forces may differ, and should not be used for comparative purposes.
