Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)

Thank you for your email dated 30 June 2013 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked: 

Would you please provide the following information as at 1st July 2013 under the Freedom of Information Act.

  1. The number of police officers employed by your force in each of the following categories 
    0-5 years' service
    6-10 years' service
    11-15 years' service
    16-20 years' service
    21-25 years' service
    26-30 years' service
    30+ years' service

  2. The number of officers that donate to the Police Treatment  centres within each of the above categories.

  3. The number of Special Constables that operate within your force

  4. The number of PCSO's that operate within your force

  5. The number of police support staff who hold police powers or authorities"

  6. The overall number of support staff that operate within your force

  7. Any known policy in the next 5 years to increase or decrease by over 10% to the number of Special Constables, PCSO's or support staff that operate within your force

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the HR and Finance Departments  of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
