Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)

Thank you for your email dated 29 June 2012 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked: 

I would like to raise a Freedom of Information Request regarding your Financial System Administration:

  1. How many Staff access the Finance system across the Authority?

  2. How is the system delivered, is it in house, via a 3rd party or via the Cloud? 

    If the Finance system is in-house:

  3. What is the total spend to date with your current Finance software provider since the start of your contract

  4. What was the start date of the contract

  5. Can you break this down by initial software, implementation consulting and recurring costs

  6. How much are you contracted to pay the Finance software provider per annum on an on-going basis

  7. When does the contract with your current provider cease

  8. Are there any break points prior to that or possible extensions 

    If the Finance system is delivered by a third party administrator or via the cloud:

  9. What are the annual charges?

  10. How are the charges made up - per user, annual fee only etc

  11. How much are you contracted to pay them per annum on an on-going basis

  12. When does the contract with your current provider cease

  13. Are there any break points prior to that or possible extensions

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Finance Department of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held, in part, by Northumbria Police, however to enable you to have a fuller response to your specific queries, your request would be best answered by the Police Authority as they acquire this service for the Force and will be able to answer your request with greater clarity and accuracy.
