Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)
Thank you for your email dated 7 March 2013 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
Please could you tell me how many times police staff at your force have filled up police-owned cars (marked or otherwise) with the wrong fuel in the last three years.
This is, if they have used filled up using diesel instead of petrol, or petrol instead of diesel.
Please could you also tell me how much it has cost the force, in total each year, in getting the cars repaired when it has occurred.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Fleet Management Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
