Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)
Thank you for your email dated 15 April 2013 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
For the years (i) 2011/12 and (ii) 2012/13 what is the fastest speed you have recorded a vehicle to have travelled on a road monitored by a speed camera? By "speed camera" I mean a fixed or temporary speed camera as well as portable speed cameras operated by officers and in-car cameras that can record the speed of other motorists.
What was the make and model of the vehicle and was it a police or civilian vehicle?
Where did the incident take place and what was the speed recorded?
Was the driver prosecuted? If not please provide a brief summary of the circumstances surrounding the incident?
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Fixed Penalty Unit of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you as follows.
With regards to 1. (i)
As you had requested this information previously I have not provided you with a copy of the information and will rely on Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. You should therefore consider this a refusal for your request.
I have provided an explanation to this exemption below.
Section 21 (1) - Information accessible by other means
Information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant is exempt information.
Your previous request on this matter FOI 320/12 answers this part of your request, and I can confirm that information still stands.

Yes the driver was prosecuted and convicted of the offence at court.
