Third person arrested after Byker firearms incident

Police have arrested a third person in connection with a firearms incident in Byker on Wednesday, March 30.

On Monday, April 4, a 22-year-old Newcastle man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.

He has been bailed pending further enquiries. 

A 20-year-old man had previously been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident and an 18-year-old woman charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear and violence.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 510 30/03/16.
