Police are appealing for information after a shop robbery in Newcastle.

At 10:33pm on Friday, January 6, two men entered the Nuns Moor Off License on Nuns Moor Road and threatened a member of staff with a knife.

They stole an amount of money before fleeing the store. No one was injured during the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing into the robbery and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area on Friday night and who saw three men in hooded tops and jackets with their hoods up hanging around the store to contact them.

Police are releasing CCTV images of the three men as they may have information that could help with enquiries.
