Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a robbery in Newcastle.

In July this year a 52-year-old man was walking on Clayton Street in Newcastle where he was approached by two men.

One of the men put him in a headlock and threatened him before taking a large quantity of cash out of the victim's pocket.

They then fled the area leaving the man uninjured but very shaken up by the incident.

A number of enquiries to locate those responsible have been undertaken by officers but now they have released an image of a man they want to speak to.

He was in the area around the time of the robbery and could hold information that proves useful to the police investigation.

The man, or anyone who knows him, should contact police on 101 quoting log
