Do you recognise these items which our officers believe to have been stolen during a string of burglaries?

Last week we arrested two suspected burglars in Gateshead and seized a number of items from the address.

An investigation into the man and woman are ongoing but officers are now trying to reunite the items with their owners.

Among the hoard is a pair of ear rings, a necklace and a “Diamond Selector II” device used to test the authenticity of jewellery.

Acting Detective Sergeant Scott Urwin, of the Central Burglary Team, said: “We believe these to be stolen goods and are keen to reunite them with their owners.

“Burglary is a really intrusive crime and a lot of the time the stolen goods are never recovered by police or their owners.

“It would be great to see these items returned to their rightful home so if you think they belong to you please get in touch.”

Anyone who thinks the jewellery belongs to them, or who knows the owners, can call us on 101 extension 62547 or email 552@northumbria.pnn.police.uk.
