Keeping you informed

We are aware of the concerns raised by residents regarding inconsiderate parking by service users of some neighbouring private facilities. To thisyou’re your Neighbourhood Police Officers are working with residents and Newcastle Parking with a view to resolving this issue through awareness and discussion with facility managers and vehicle owners.

May 2017 - Walkergate Motoring concerns

What you told us:

Concern regarding the excessive speeds of motor vehicles on roads governed by 20 mph speed          restrictions and indiscriminate and inconsiderate parking on the school run continue to affect              residents of the Walker and Walkergate Wards.

What we are doing about it:

These concerns are reported via local residents meetings and through Ward Councillors.

As a result Neighbourhood Officers will continue to monitor traffic and use technical equipment to identify those drivers travelling in excess of the speed restrictions.

Indiscriminate or inconsiderate parking during the school run places children at risk and Neighbourhood Officers will continue to monitor the roads outside our schools with a view to increasing awareness and addressing poor driving.
