About My Role
PCSO Grant Brooks
I have been a Police Community Support Officer working for Northumbria Police since 2006, working in the Hendon area of Sunderland and transferring to work in the Benwell, Elswick and Arthurs Hill area of Newcastle in 2009.
My role is to offer high visibility patrols in your area. My objective is to play my part in helping to improve the quality of life for all communities within the Newcastle Elswick neighbourhood area.
I work closely with police officers and other agencies to contribute to Northumbria Police initiatives with the ultimate aim of providing public reassurance, community safety and achieving crime and disorder reduction within your area.
If you see me in your area please stop me and introduce yourself.
My role as a Neighbourhood Beat Officer is to meet the needs of local communities, uphold the protection of life and property, maintain peace and encourage the reduction or prevention of crime through:
The identification of problems of crime, disorder and other quality of life issues experienced by all sections of the local community, particularly vulnerable groups.
Involvement in problem solving initiatives aimed at addressing the underlying causes of many of these issues.
Provision of a highly visible uniformed presence, aimed at reassuring the local community and reducing the fear of crime.
Please do get in touch if you have any policing issues you wish to bring to my attention.
